Go from zero to your first ATS-tailored resume and automated application in under 3 minutes.

Prerequisites

To start using Scoutly, all you need is:

A modern Chromium-based browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc)
Your current resume in PDF or DOCX format (or your LinkedIn profile URL)
A Scoutly account (free forever, no credit card required)

Step 1 — Create an Account

Navigate to scoutly.in/auth/signup and sign up with Google or your work/personal email.

After email verification, you will land on the onboarding wizard where you can specify your target job titles (e.g., "Senior Backend Engineer", "Product Designer"), preferred locations, and expected compensation.

Step 2 — Build Your Master Profile

Scoutly operates on a powerful principle: Maintain one comprehensive master profile, generate unlimited tailored applications.

Upload your existing resume. Scoutly's background parser extracts:

Work History — company names, titles, dates, and achievement bullet points
Technical Skills — programming languages, cloud platforms, frameworks, and tooling
Education & Certifications — degrees, institutions, and honors
Projects — open-source contributions, portfolio links, and metrics

Step 3 — Find or Paste a Target Job

You can add jobs to your application pipeline in two ways:

From the Scoutly Jobs Feed — browse thousands of verified engineering jobs and internships aggregated across Indian tech portals (Instahyre, Unstop, Internshala, and Apna).
Paste any Job URL — copy the URL of any job posting from LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, or Workday into your Scoutly dashboard.

Step 4 — Generate Tailored Resume

Click Tailor Application on any job card. Scoutly performs a two-stage optimization:

Keyword Gap Analysis — identifies missing technical skills and industry keywords from the job description.
Achievement Rewriting — reorganizes and strengthens your master profile bullets using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to match the employer's key requirements.
Typst Vector Compilation — outputs a sub-second, ATS-parseable vector PDF with guaranteed text layer readability.

Step 5 — 1-Click Apply via Extension

Install the Scoutly Chrome Extension. When you visit any supported job application page (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday), the Scoutly overlay appears in the bottom right corner.

Click Autofill Form. Scoutly fills your contact info, past experience, custom screening questions, and attaches your tailored Typst PDF resume. Review the answers, then submit!
